C-bass is the drummer for Sammy Rae and the Friends, a Pop/Soul band that is taking the world by storm. Another recent project C-bass has been involved in is Aberdeen, an indie brass band that was accepted into the prestigious American Music Abroad (AMA) Program. In short, AMA was founded by the US Department of State and their goal is to globalize American music by bringing American bands to places that wouldn’t have much access to live American music. The overall purpose of this is to create a lasting cultural exchange through the power of music. From May 12th-29th, Aberdeen played and conducted dozens of performances and masterclasses around Kyrgyzstan and Mongolia for massive audiences consisting of ambassadors of each country, government officials, and students.
A few people I have played, recorded, and studied with include: John Patitucci, Danilo Perez, Joe Lovano, Aaron Parks, Ari Hoenig, Warren Wolf, Aaron Goldberg, Gilad Hekselman, Bill Whelan, Willie Nelson, and Annie Lennox.
